Is someone carrying their eighth fetus....? TMZ minds wanna know. If not, interesting tag line. Kinda creepy. Of course that's my ever so humble opinion. Dude.
awesome! you all have been talking about me (well at least two of you, cause box dog would have no idea how many pregnancies/babies/"fetuses" i have had/carried...only one person here would know that)... sweet!!! albeit with misinformation (no surprise there....) this is actually the (if you want the correct facts but probably not), tenth "fetus", counting miscarriages.
had a feeling it would get the emails fired up this morning......lol!!

Since I know the answer, I can only assume you're alluding to me here.
I can't recall ever sharing your private information with anyone, so you must have made mention of your prolific birthing practices somewhere on this board at a time in the past. After all, you do post some very personal information on this very public board. Not to mention that life v. choice is a topic we have discussed many times.
Sorry to disappoint, but I don't believe the information came from me. However, since I can see how much this has brightened your day, I'm happy to take credit for it.
btw, congratulations on the pregnancy. Good luck with it. I could live without the pro life website ads, though.
Indeed. It wouldn't have come from you. I am woman hear me roar announced her prior pregnancies and surrogate status a very long time ago. Anyway this thread is dripping with a bucket full of self inflicted hormonal imbalance. Her audience just got one snicker smaller.
"Spam is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it." -- What is spam?
instead of a definition of spam from a company that is selling a program for it...with link included....i find a much more unbiased source to be merriam webster which states:
spam:
: unsolicited usually commercial e-mail sent to a large number of addresses
I apologize for not spotting the spam (a link to an ebay site, or something) earlier.
no, it was not spam it was a link to my son's and his friend's new business venture.....his personal website that he created. spam comes to your inbox unsolicited. to arrive at his site, one would need to intentionally click the link.
When I did, I immediately asked that it be removed. It was removed, and replaced with more spam --
yes, it was removed without any problems or irritation, because i had already told him that i didnt know if it was allowed here and on the other boards i am on, and if it wasnt i would have to remove it. no it wasnt replaced with more spam. it was replaced by a sticker i have on my myspace page and a COUNTDOWN ticker showing how far along pregnant i am and how many days were left. only by clicking on it, (with NO instructions or requests to do so) did it take you to the online parenting site of which i am not a member, do not participate, nor had ever been too prior to yesterday to see what all the fuss was about.

Advertising web sites in signature lines constitutes spam. Revisionism doesn't alter that.
whatever. obviously, i could explain till i am blue in the face and it would not make a difference to most of the people here.....they have their preconceived ideas in place and arent open to being wrong...typical of most of society and shouldnt be a surprise but i was.... i guess because i traditionally have found that the more intelligent people are, the more they are open to the fact they may not be right, they are aware their perceptions sometimes may be incorrect, or for me, i am always interested to see peoples different take on things...and swirl them around and see another side......jeez.. i seem to have much more open minded, debatable social issue type discussions with my 91 y/o grandma who only went to 6th grade than some of the stuff i have seen here lately....
Sorry "we" don't reach your minimal intelligence requirement threshold. You're a saint to have put up with us as long as you have, there's no denying that.
I wish you and your grandmother the best. PS: degree of matriculation has nothing to do with level of intelligence; might be something to keep in mind the next time you're talking with your grandmother.
buh bye.

I am almost certain I am the only one here that falls on the side that has trouble with some abortions.I also am certain it has nothing to do with views on issues. It's personal don't you think? I had seen that sig line a good while and, only after sides were being taken did Owl ask for it to be removed. Even if she replaced her old one with new ones just to get Owl, I say every one has a pissy moment but, are they worth choosing and, taking sides?
I apologize for not spotting the spam (a link to an ebay site, or something) earlier. When I did, I immediately asked that it be removed. It was removed, and replaced with more spam -- the repeated posting of the same message "...in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it."
This is not an issue of allowing/disallowing diverse thought, nor about my personally being offended by something. It was about spam. The pointedly provocative "you ain't the boss of me" bumper sticker and the "talking" embryo thing (a favorite tool of the anti-choice advocates) were immaterial. Had the link carried one to a pro-choice site, it would have made no difference to me as far as administrative actions.
ust for sh!te and giggles, i went to my other board to click on my countdown siggy and see what all the fuss is about.....here is what i saw....NO WHERE is there ANY type of pro-life propaganda. it is from what i see and as gator already said, an online community of support for pregnancy and parenting....shocking! <-- my attempt at sarcasm...(the sticker about "i am who i am, your approval is not needed" was not an attempt at sarcasm, it was simply a statement of fact....and truer and truer for me everyday)MT
I'm surprised / shocked here to know you had no prior knowledge of the site your "siggy" came from. Or just where the siggy is linked. I'm a wee bit let down that it is not a supported site of yours. And, think how worse this all could have been had it came from a site that would have offended those staunchly pro choice. Cat also made the point about how many pc's she has cleaned up from frivilious users. Maybe you can look at it that way and understand those here protecting do have a valid point. I am saying this is the nicest of ways so you know. I do not need a yes ma'am. I use my words and, can stand on them all by myself.Gator
2.) Please don't use my given name on this board. I will refer to you as MT or MyTurn, and would appreciate being referred to as Cat or MyCat. It's a public board and I've seen personal information turn very ugly on other public boards.
my sincere apologies....i was pretty irritated when i wrote it...tho not at you.....and didnt really think about the name thing...thats who you are to me...i am sorry and i changed it now...i know it doesnt change the fact that i had already posted it....but its the best i could do.
3.) I was honestly wishing you well with your pregnancy. I know how hard you worked for it. Good luck.
ok. i am sorry. thank you. yes, this has been a long (to me) road...and after 13 weeks of butt shots, my butt is pretty pissed at me right now...at least the shots are done this friday..yay!!.... i do appreciate the good wishes.

Good morning. Just a couple of things:
1.) You're assuming we clicked on the link. We did not. It reminded me of those similar-looking, pro-lifer bumper stickers. I made the connection and went with it. For the others, I think it was a matter of advertising, which I could also live without.

About Baby-Gaga: Embracing the Craziness
here is an amazing amount of information and resources covering virtually every aspect of parenting and pregnancy online-- unfortunately, most of it tends to be under-whelmingly NOT fun and all the people in the photographs look so happy and put together with their children and their pregnant bellies that we're more than a little intimidated. Really, if everyone were so good at parenting than why get online in the first place?
ur core philosophy is derived from the fact that pregnancy and parenting is not some hazy land of sleeping infants and blossoming sunflowers nor is it a clinical diagnosis of problem X to be solved by solution Y with no imagination or emotions.
Actually, as far as we can tell, pregnancy and parenting is some of the hardest work on the planet... the most rewarding hard work yes, but also the most chaotic, frustrating, and sometimes downright crazy work that there is. If we can share that craziness honestly instead of pretending there's always a single answer or that buying product Z will make it magically better, just maybe we'll find better more viable solutions to the challenges we face as parents of the future generation.
At a glance: We continue to evolve our plans of how to best make pregnancy and parenting a bit more fun and managable online. Thus far we've got the following resources for your use and enjoyment:
Our Online Community: whether you're 16 and pregnant or 35 and have three kids, these are the people that make Baby-Gaga what it is. Nothing is too sacred for our forum as long as you discuss it with respect and kindness.
A FUN pregnancy calendar: 40 weeks of pregnancy sent straight to your email inbox which include:
Stroller reviews: we review the most popular strollers with no bias or intent to sell, just the facts based on what YOU the consumer needs to know in order to make the best purchase for the right price.
Birthday and Pregnancy Tickers: graphical event tickers hand drawn by our artist that count down the days to a birthday or due-date. If you're preggers, you can choose between developmental text or our edgy-but-fun sarcastic text contributed by our Sarcastic Mom Journalist.
Again, why would a growing fetus banner be so offensive to you?Only because Owl was? Because, it supports life? Which I don't think that has any thing to do with it but, even if. I was told here how boring it would be to all agree.
simple answer is it doesnt. its the passive aggressive thumping of others that irks me. rather than messaging owl to explain the hyperlink or to simply remove it she posted something that she knew would be provocative. thats not an objective spirited discussion on a topic its na na na na na childish behavior. and its disruptive to the rest of the board. the way the game goes is that mt posts something that she knows will p iss someone off and then when called on it will go into denial and the whole its about someone else that i know, and my intentions are misunderstood and nobody responds to my post or likes me thing as she did with this and other instances. if one didnt know better one might fall for it. theres a formal term for this. its called mystification but the easy way to understand this is what my sainted irish mum was so fond of saying: "dont piss on my leg and tell me its raining. for instance tho shes gone on a long explanation of how ive misunderstood her innocent intentions and how the banner and the sarcastic sig line were not about anything having to do with this board but why then does she post the morning after her "innocent banner" and sarcastic comment this.
had a feeling it would get the emails fired up this morning......lol!! so yes, she knew exactly what she was doing and its the gaminess and the manipulation of others that i find offensive. as she admitted above she knew that posting those items would be upsetting to others and as you can see my the clapping emoticon shes pleased by her actions. so all the backtracking now is meaningless its been a consistent pattern and yes maturity would be welcome and far less disruptive for everyone else.
i havent even reaad your whole post and i had to respond. the reason i posted about it getting the emails fired up was because i figured it would start something because I AM PREGNANT...not for any other reason. and box dog did not disappoint. it had nothing what so ever to do with trying to piss off owl as i have already stated.....nice spin there....yet another one who asks if i meant something one way, and when i explain, still believes what she wants.....sometimes i wish i was a devious, and mean and nasty as you all seem to think cause then at least i would be gulity of what i was accused...... my countdown ticker was neither mean nor nefarious, nor was it meant to send any type of message to anyone...it was simply the same ticker i have in my siggy on other boards i am on......and as i said before, think what you all want...you will anyway....ok, off to read the second part of your post.

nobody is taking sides and i welcome opposing points of view on any topic. really its not that. ive stated why ive found these kinds of antics to be offensive. thats my take on it and as a member of this board i find the disruptions caused by this behavior to be intrusive and juvenile. and yanno ive gone out of my way to be inclusive and not take sides and its pissing me off. there are certain behaviors that i find obnoxious and those are these kind of manipulative, passive aggressive poking at others and then denying it things. and thats the end of the topic as far as im concerned theres been more than enough attention to it.

BTW before anyone freaks because, I joined, I did so, ONLY to ask a huge favor of Owl. And, will remove my membership when she gets my private message I sent her. I'm afraid that if I remove it before she comes and reads the message that it will be removed with the account as well. make sense ? i didnt think so lol. Gator
for the record, yes. i love rayanne....always will. period. i dont want to hurt her, i dont want to argue with her, she is special, incredible, beautiful, and i treasure every moment i ever had with her and while i do wish we were still together, we are not. period. i really wish all this would just stop.
These are very nice sentiments and, not knowing Cat except through reads, I can say she is alright by me:) I am sorry it did not work out for you both but, the maturity is such that no one needs to leave do they? Get along and being nice seems to be a large part of both of you girls makeup. And, the way you both handle yourselves here tells me that once it settles, you both will be good friends. And, really being neighbors now you should. One never knows when they may have to borrow a cup of SUGAH :)Gator
you people are amazing that you think the world revolves around you all.....
i removed my sons tag line at owls request. no problem.
THEN, i decided to change my siggy line completely as i was bored with the george bush one i had had for so long.
i put the "i am who i am, your approval is not needed." because i like it and its true in so many ways.....and it is meant as a general statement about me. no one else. but this has to do with OTHER people OUTSIDE of this board.....and things in my personal life.
Me-me-me...and the aria begins. Clear throat and sing woman, sing. Uh-oh, you sat on a public toilet seat again? Octolez!
you're damn right sista...it IS all about me....and about friggin time i realized it.

Reason I asked MT first if she was pregnant. And, it was because, I checked out the origin of her tag and, it appears to be a very nice community of women sharing baby knowledge and, supporting each other through out. A pro life web site that the world could use a little more of. Nothing radical or insulting. I'm confused Cat why you have a problem with that? I'm thinking you went with BD's response and, assumed it was one of those sites. A big problem with the abortion debate is that it is swallowing up and, leaving empty all those things both sides should surely be supporting. Gator
-
You're correct, I did assume it was one of those sites. That was the basis for my statement. I don't visit sites I don't know or trust. Just a habit of years of fighting viruses and malware on clients' machines.
Either way, I could still live without the ad. There are enough ads I have to wade through during my daily Internet experience. As a matter of fact, there's one at the top of this page.

i cant answer for cat here gator but i can tell you why i found it objectionable. owl asked mt in a post to remove the hyper link for the advertisement at the bottom of her sig line. it appeared that mts response to that simple administrative request was the sarcastic comment in the box along with the growing fetus banner.

owl has spoken many times on this board about her pro choice stance and it seems clear that these postings on mts sig line were very odd and angry responses to a very innocuous request to remove the ad link. however if shes preggers and its all innocent then my apologies for being so cynical! so, whens the baby due? -

for the record...i am totally pro-choice, as i have made very clear in the abortion discussions on this board...and other boards to which i belong. NO ONE EVER has the right to tell any woman what to do with their body EVER. period. i have known women who have had abortions and clearly it was the best decision for them at that time in thier lives. no one ever need to judge that. others do not walk in their shoes and cannot make a decision for that woman that will affect the rest of her life...only that woman can do that for herself.
i think it is idiotic that i even have to explain the countdown ticker thing. it is a COUNTDOWN TICKER! how difficult is that to understand????? yes, i am 10 weeks 6 days pregnant and the ticker shows how many days are left till the approximate birth. for women who generally are pretty intelligent, it is ridiculous that this is something you dont seem to comprehend!?!??
i know nothing about any pro life site.....as far as i know, if you click on the ticker it takes you to the site to get your own ticker. plus that are tons of sites to get a ticker for whatever you want...how many days till you take a trip, till your anniversary, till a birthday, till you graduate, pounds lost while losing weight....omg. you people are so frustrating.
box dog has been riding my ass for some time now and i have been nothing but amicable. even when i was frustrated, i never attacked her. i did point out when she was wrong, and how she always seems to think she is right. i get that part of all of this is probably to try to get me to leave this board and has been going on for some time, but i dont think that i have done anything wrong. i think i have good ideas, thoughts and perspectives to add to the discussions and when i dont, i say nothing. i have never met box dog/terri in life, but i know that she and cata have and are friends....perhaps it is because cat has just moved like 3 blocks from me that she is all wierded out about me still being here...IDK...all i know is that i have no done anything to her. i have not attacked her, or box dog...and this is really ridiculous. for the record, yes. i love cat....always will. period. i dont want to hurt her, i dont want to argue with her, she is special, incredible, beautiful, and i treasure every moment i ever had with her and while i do wish we were still together, we are not. period. i really wish all this would just stop.
some growing up needs to be done by some people on this board. stop riding my a$$...if i do post something that warrants being corrected, fine....but terri is posting things just to be an a$$ to me and it is so stupid and unwarranted. if I was the one posting in the tone and manner she is, i guarantee "foul" would have been called long before this and i would have been very publicly chastised by the others here.
there was no anger on my part till this post accusing me of posting something to deliberately pi$$ of owl. no way. no how. i dont care if you people think i am stupid for being pregnant....AGAIN. whatever....i have already lost things and people that were important to me from their assumptions and beliefs about me that were patently false.....it is wrong, it is unjust, but people do it over and over....i dont care anymore....i like this board...i normally find it interesting to read peoples views, ideas, thoughts, things going on in their lives, participating in discussions and debates....i have intelligent thoughts to offer and i have not attacked or demeaned anyone. so if you wanna delete my account like was done to me at the lesbians who enjoy thinking, then there is nothing i can do about it. but really you all should look in the mirror when you throw about that tired old lesbian tag line about "drama". i think it is old tired and over used. i have also found that the people who squawk the loudest about not tolerating it or not wanting it, are generally the biggest drama queens around.

TAMPA Preliminary autopsy results for TV pitchman Billy Mays suggest he died of heart failure, the Medical Examiner said today.
The autopsy done this morning reveals no evidence of head trauma or drug abuse, said Medical Examiner Vern Adams. There had been speculation that Mays might have been injured during a hard landing at Tampa International Airport Saturday.
The autopsy showed he had hardening of the arteries, Adams said. He was taking pain medication after two recent hip surgeries, but there is no evidence that contributed to his death, Adams said.
A full autopsy will be completed within eight to 10 weeks.
The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner at a news conference.
Mays, famous for selling cleaning products on infomercials, didn't wake up Sunday morning and was pronounced dead about 7:45 a.m. No foul play is suspected, police said.
Mays, 50, told his family he didn't feel good Saturday and went to sleep early, about 10 p.m., police said. He had just returned from a trip to Philadelphia to shoot an Oxyclean commercial and was on the plane that had a hard landing at Tampa International Airport when a tire blew out.
Mays told WTVT-Ch.13 Saturday that something hit his head during the landing, but no injuries were reported to airport officials.
he really was quite the pitchman. i wonder how many people bought the things that he was pitching? i know i love the as seen on tv aisle at the cvs. i was looking thru it the other day.
i think the shamwow and the slap chop are my favs tho they are violent vinces pitches not billy mays.
Is someone carrying their eighth fetus....? TMZ minds wanna know. If not, interesting tag line. Kinda creepy. Of course that's my ever so humble opinion. Dude.
awesome! you all have been talking about me (well at least two of you, cause box dog would have no idea how many pregnancies/babies/"fetuses" i have had/carried...only one person here would know that)... sweet!!! albeit with misinformation (no surprise there....) this is actually the (if you want the correct facts but probably not), tenth "fetus", counting miscarriages.
had a feeling it would get the emails fired up this morning......lol!!

from another post: "i looked up the FAA regulations and in section 91.107 it states that every passenger must occupy a seat with a seat belt properly secured about him or her during movement on the ground, take off and landing.
therefore,if he was not wearing a seat belt than the flight attendents on that flight were breaking FAA regulations and have admitted such to the media."
I've always been appalled that airlines do not assign travelers their own personal attendant. Until such time we , yes, we, should hold the flight attendants responsible for passengers remaining belted. Without personal attendants it's nearly impossible for the staff to see who may have unclasped their belt, seeing as the attendants too are required by the airlines to belt in.

dude, if everyone had personal accountability and common sense, do you think we would need ANY laws/regulations in this country?
whatever....i am of the thinking that the autopsy will show mr. mays' death was the result of something completely unrelated to the airplane landing and his bump on the head.
Laura Brown, the FAA spokesperson who gave TMZ this quote about Billy Mays -- "The passenger needs to wear a seat belt during landing and he didn't" -- now says she didn't say it.
She now tells TMZ, "At this point in time, we cannot have any idea who was or wasn't wearing their seat belt on the plane."
Mays was one of the passengers aboard a plane that landed roughly at Tampa International Airport yesterday. *He told a local FOX affiliate he was hit on the head by falling items.
*not at all what his "tweet" consisted of. It didn't include anything about being hit on the head. Simply about having a rough landing.
The tweet:"Just had a close call landing in Tampa. The tires blew out upon landing. Stuck in the plane on the runway. You can always count on US Air." 3:01 Jun 27 From Txt
This riveting story is unfolding with lightning speed. Amazing how, in one week, TMZ has become the foremost provider of non bias, accurate and timely "reporting".
ok...thats cool. i was wrong (least i can admit it) that he tweeted in a joking manner about being hit on the head by falling objects. he actually joked with the times affiliate at TIA in person after finally getting off the plane.....point is, he was still joking about it. and it doesnt change the fact that i think he did not die as a result of someones overheard compartment contents hitting him on the head. i could be wrong but at least this is just my opinion and not example of getting facts wrong, (nor am i making fun of anyone elses opinion) and will gladly admit it if i am....
Since I was the only other poster to respond I guess that's my opinion you're referring to .... but just to set the record str8, I didn't express and opinion, here's what I said ........
"Apparently he either hit his head or something fell and hit him yesterday. Makes you wonder if this is another case of swelling of the brain after head trauma - ie: Natasha Richardson.
Nowhere did I say ... This is what happened and this is the cause of death.
Just sayin .....
Before this unnecessarily spirals any further let me jump in. I believe you, MT and myself all made reference to the seatbelt, the hit to the noggin and alluded to core responsibility for restraint. That said. I don't think anyone misconstrued or formed speculation based on your input. The discussion of sort between MT and myself was one to clarify specifically "what and to whom" Billy tweeted, or verbally discussed with a local Fox station after disembarking. So, all in all, it seems you just commented on the stuff falling from above, MT mistakenly believed it was his "tweet" that referred to the noggin bump when it was his interview with Fox. And I just sort of laid down the gauntlet, via his own documented tweet and also what he said to Fox. If there were any culpability, negligence on the part of the airline for the bumpy landing and his noggin joggin it would seem he didn't have a huge concern for it since it was not at all part of any tweet that evening. I dunno here, but with this one I think we're all squared away and cool.

this sounds to me like natasha richardsons skiing accident. they hit their heads and seem ok and then die hours later. people can and do become seriously injured by objects falling out of the overhead bin. most airlines allow up to 40lbs in the carry on and that can be 40 lbs of canned goods depending on the market:) from the description it sounds more like he hit his head on the overhead bin or the ceiling. that happens a lot during turbulence when people arent strapped in and if this plane hit with the tires popped there was prolly some bouncing that would be similar to turbulence. of course it might not be related but it does seem very coincidental.
very true. altho mr. mays said himself he was hit on the head by falling objects...so who knows. it could have been the hit on the head or something else completely unrelated....time will tell....

i agree with cat re: the seat belt not protecting his head...its all about keeping one in their seat.
and as far as whether he was wearing a seat belt...
i looked up the FAA regulations and in section 91.107 it states that every passenger must occupy a seat with a seat belt properly secured about him or her during movement on the ground, take off and landing.
therefore, if he was not wearing a seat belt than the flight attendents on that flight were breaking FAA regulations and have admitted such to the media.
i would hope that the airline would have asked if anyone needed medical assistance...however, i can easily see how many people would have just blown it off...in mays' case, he basically joked about getting hit on the head and having a hard head on twitter. so even if EMS care was offered, no one is bound or required to accept it. he probably just wanted to get home....
i agree that it will be interesting to see what the autopsy shows. could be something as simple as a brain aneurysm, heart attack in his sleep, who knows, that had nothing what so ever to do with the hit on the head...
The FAA is already deflecting blame for the death of Billy Mays -- claiming the legendary TV pitchman wasn't wearing a seat belt when he took a shot to the head during a rough landing on a flight he was on yesterday.
Here's what we know -- Billy Mays was aboard US Airways Flight 1241 flying from Philadelphia, which landed roughly when the front tire blew out as it touched down. After the flight, Billy told FOX 13 in Tampa that something struck him in the head -- here's Billy's actual quote: "All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."
If something fell from above, how would a seat belt have helped? Was he bouncing around and fell out of his seat? That is when a seat belt tends to come in handy.
I think US Air probably should have taken extra steps to ensure he didn't have a concussion before sending him home. I wonder what the autopsy will show.

We called the FAA for comment, and a spokesperson told us, "The passenger needs to wear a seat belt during landing and he didn't."
A spokesperson for US Airways did not want to comment until more information comes to light.
Billy posted about it last on his Twitter last night, saying, "Just had a close call landing in Tampa. The tires blew out upon landing. Stuck in the plane on the runway. You can always count on US Air."
Spirited TV pitchmanBilly Mayswas found dead at hisTampahome earlier this morning, police said.
Mays, 50, lent his trademark booming voice to infomercials for products likeOxiCleanandOrange Glo.
His wife,Deborah Mays, found him at their home Sunday morning, theAssociated Pressreported. Tampa police said there were no signs of a break in or foul play.
An autopsy will be done by Monday afternoon to determine the cause of death.
"Although Billy lived a public life, we don't anticipate making any public statements over the next couple of days," Deborah Mays said in a statement. "Our family asks that you respect our privacy during these difficult times."
Mays, who got his start peddling products to passersby on theAtlantic City Boardwalk, has pluggedMighty Putty, theDing Kingdent repair kit, and, most recently, the website ESPN360.com
"With every product you see me on TV with, I've turned down 100, 150 more," Mays told the News earlier this month, while inNew Yorkfor a look alike contest. "I've been on TV for 11 years, and all I have is my good name."
"I compare myself to a big-league slugger, a quarterback, the doctor who delivers the baby," he said. "I'm not an inventor, but I'll take your product to the next level."
