That's funny. I couldn't help but wonder what went through Gov. (sp) Vilsankos mind when this happened. I mean here he was all happy over the 1.7 mil to study why pigcrap stinks in that "stimulus" plan and all of a sudden he's faced with the possibility of Iowa becoming a midwest hub for gay vacationers from all over the country. He better do a hurry up on the infrastructure and get some Motel 6's up, you can drive for a hundred miles and see nothing but corn in that state. I just KNOW he was saying to himself "why me", why couldn't it have been Nebraska? Screw California, looks like the country is figuring it out without pandering to the HRC or high profile celebrities. The people are challenging their government and making a difference.
i liked what they said in the decision about iowas civil rights history i was looking to see if i could find that but alas its apparently yesterdays news.
I'm thrilled it was at the hands of the States Supreme Court, and not their legislature. It's safe(er) at that level.

extraordinarily so!i came home from work yesterday in a grumpy mood and then watched that and the bad mood dissolved. i loved looking at people faces and how they changed as a result of what they were watching. some of the after interviews with the regular folks in the train station were also interesting. some were crying a bit because it made them happy and really who cant use a little happy these days?
Absolutely delightful. Thanks for sharing. :) Okay, I know delightful is a kinda queer word for me to use, but I'm feelin extra queer with the recent developments in Iowa and Vermont. Feels like we're playing Gay Monopoly with equal rights. I'll trade you Pennsylvania Railroad for Vermont and one B&B...bd
and ill see your b and b and raise you one jersey. what do you think a lil springsteen when that happens? lol im thinking the whole east coast might go this year. and iowa? geesh, if marriage equality can play in iowa then gather the conestogas closer mable and protect the children its coming to a state near you.

Ah HA! So I was RIGHT in second grade after all, and that IS the way the world is supposed to be!
And they thought I was just a crazy little girl on a bicycle -- HA!
:)
and if only we knew joy as we did in the second grade, yanno? i think i read somewhere that only children can see the arrow in the fed ex label too! the only thing standing between us and unbridled passionate joy is...er...other people? i think about this sometimes. we have an abundance of everything, more than enough to go around many times over and no need for all of the misery and yet misery we all have in spades. it doesnt have to be that way and yet it is and its all of our own collective choice.
