Thanks for the link. I wish that I could go. it sounds great!  Alas its not to be.

I have an announcement too for the writers out there! two interesting fiction contests notices popped into my inbox this week.
The first is the washington post fiction contest where the theme is love. entries have to be in by may 4th and the winner selected in september.  the winning story will be published in the valentines day special section.

The second fiction contest pays some moolah so thats always a good thing. Its the Family circle fiction contest.  The top prize is 750.00 with smaller 2nd and 3rd place prizes.  If you are interested you can see the stories that won this year on their website and it may give an inkling of the kind of story that might win. For those who have squeamishness surrounding rejection letter kinds of things i dont think ya get one and if you read the winning stories this year they are not intimidating.

If anyone's interested, it's not too late to register to attend the National Lesbian Health Summit which will be held March 6-8 in San Francisco.

The 2009 Lesbian Health Summit Coordinating Committee invites you to join us in expanding our movement at the National Lesbian Health Summit.

This Summit is focused on lesbians, bisexual women, queer women, and transgender people. While our workshops and speakers will address these communities, the Summit itself will be welcoming to all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) communities, and our important friends and allies, nationally and internationally.

Registration Information

Community registration for the National Lesbian Health Summit costs $30. We have a limited number of registration scholarships which we will award based on economic need. We offer an economically accessible registration fee and encourage those who are able, to contribute additional support.
