Why I felt it was really important I vote for Obama in the last general election -- just read that RB Ginsberg has early stage pancreatic cancer.
i saw that yesterday and shes apparently planning on returning by the end of the month. the reports said they caught it early but shes what? 76? and thats a pretty dire disease.
That's putting it mildly. I don't know ANY pancreatic cancer survivors. I've lost five people to it, though. I've been watching Patrick Swayze (sp?) with great interest, and have been sort of awed by his staying power, but even so ...
All but one of my people who died from pc went within three months after being diagnosed. I did have one pal (Eddie Black) who survived for a couple of years, but then again I'm not positive what he started out with was pc -- might have been another kind of cancer, and then he got the pancreatic flavor. One doesn't ask a lot of questions, when a person doesn't want to discuss being ill at all, ya know....
