I can't believe the debate now assaulting the internet over Barack Obama using his middle name when he takes the presidential oath of office.

I mean, come on.

People are all in a tizzy about "the message it will send to terrorists" and stuff.

Forget the middle NAME -- if I were Barack Obama, I think I'd be using my middle FINGER about now....

i was watching footage of the concert rehearsal today and bono was speaking about how the rest of the world views us in light of obamas election.  as i was listening i was thinking about those who would be likely recruits to terrorist causes would view this and it seemed to me that this would probably be viewed as a positive step for the US.  i would hope that everyone would like to see obama succeed. if we are in half the trouble we keep hearing we are in who would wish him to fail? and yet it seems that some would like it to be so. weve already had 8 years of misery i dont know if we can withstand another 4 or 8 so i am really hoping for the best. so far hes exceeded my expectations and seems to have really internalized the ready from day one message. i hope to feel this way in 6 months or a year and i would really hope that he harnesses some of that grass roots mojo to help move things in a positive direction quickly

"Michelle Obama is the first African-American sleeping in the White House legally." Reverend Jeremiah Wright January 18th, 2009

He then proceeded to sermonize by hollerin" "now hold on sistahs there's more, there's more..."    I can't fathom what the rest of the world thinks when they think of "us". Anonymous
