It will be interesting to see just how rapidly (or rabidly) that character takes a following. Moreso to see if (my moneys on yep she will) Maddow herself is "invited" on the show to join in the fun. "Embrace" the ridiculing of herself. Really, that's what it is, whether it's clever, hysterical a dud or whatnot, parody is intended to be clever insult, isn't it?

it seems to sting less in the long run when people go with it. witness sarah palins rehashing last week. makes her come across as rather petty. the time to b itch about it would be when it happens otherwise it makes it appear to be tolerable as long as there is some gain from it.

I say she's on the show and "embracing" the whack-a-dyke humor within 90 days. Two steps forward and three back. It's all about the ego, and exposure, for themselves.

prolly. shed better be careful about overexposure tho. shes got a few irons in the fire and once the inauguration is over and things settle in a bit she might be at risk for getting the boot ala dan abrams. and if this happens and she has to go back to her old job i just want to have it on record that she can come and be my lawn boi anytime shed like.

I try to get into MTP now, but just can't. It's just not the same, without him. Maybe it's because the election is over. I dunno.

im thinking its david gregory. hes kind of mild for that show. i think it needs a more gregarious personality to pull it off. i was surprised by that choice. i would have thought chris matthews would have been the better choice. (as much as his misogyny ticks me off)

The only thing that used to be bad was trying to stay up late for SNL and getting up early for MTP. Now? Neither holds much interest for me. Mostly I just watch biographies and stuff on PBS, or whatever else happens to be on. That's pretty much my TV viewing any more.

Psych: did you see the opening skit on snl? where they made all of the rachel maddow is a lesbian jokes? wtf? that was sad. one of the reasons i stopped watching that show long ago was the p enis joke humor. that sort of goes along with the thumb in the dike humor tho doesnt it?

Oh, and The Simpsons. smile

Mooning Bart Simpson gotcha. wink

Two steps forward and three back. It's all about the ego, and exposure, for themselves.

I got about 5 seconds into the video and had enough. The only thing that could make it worse is if I sang the karaoke myself! LOL.

Too bad, after the first five seconds is the actual song. The bad karaoke is an inexplicable lead in to the video. shrug.gif
