So from where did you upload the photos? My Sparklit account seems to have changed -- not only are the emoticons different ("weirdface" is gone form the top 16, and they're on the side now, rather than the bottom of the page) but also, when I click photo, the only way to add a photo to the post is to provide a url. I FINALLY was able to upload a photo as a "test" avatar, but in order to do that, I had to change it to a png file, and now I can't find how to do that again, but the option for loading a photo from a post from your computer seems to now be missing -- MUST be from a web site. When I use the photoworks web site, I get a "this image temporarily not available" in the post, rather than the image.
huh? i did the upload photo browse thing and it worked. i uploaded from corel that i got off of cnet. its trialware but ive had it now for 5 months and they keep asking if i want to extend my trial. weird i know but what the heck.
I miss posting photos.

PS -- I had to call Photoworks technical support last night (twice, actually) and got (both times!) a VERY cool guy named Kyle, with a very clear American dialect. I was surprised I got him twice, but he said there were only two of them there. Anyway, good to know Photoworks isn't outsourcing to India, and you can actually talk to and be understood by their tech support. My long seige with AOL had almost soured me on the idea of ever asking a "tech support" phone person anything again, and it was a very cool surprise and positive experience last night, with good ole Kyle. Four thumbs up for Photoworks!
heh! thanks! this was one of those dang it 11 year old kids could fix this and youre wringing your hands and saying you cant do it moments. does anyone else give themselves pep talks or mental beatdown? i do and sometimes they are useful. lol. so i plopped myself down and decided i wasnt gonna go to sleep til i fixed it. i tried all of the obvious things and it wasnt any of them but kept looking things up in the geek forums and sure enough i found one suggestion that didnt sound like it would work but what the heck, its important to rule out everything and sure enough i repaired the file, rebooted and i was back in business!

Great news about the laptop! The photos are fun and it's good to see them at all. I really like #5, kinda says "talk to the hand". Fits my current mood.
lol they also had an outdoor table set and the chairs were all giant hands. i so wanted that but it was beyond my means so alas ill stick with the rubbermaid ones i now currently own. i liked the statue in number 4 a lot. every time i walked by it i got some sort of vibe from it. weird. ive meant to research and see who that statue represents but i havent had the time yet. i hope its a good spirit:)
And, btw, "Eureka"? I thought it meant you finally got that ROOMBA!

i fixed my laptop! lol. snoopy dancing all over da place! ok lets see if everything is still working. heres some recent pix! if all goes well these are of stockbridge and lenox ma, alices restaurant err or where it was but no longer is anyway, and this really fun statue place. i enlarged the heads on the ground and matted and framed them as well as one of the statues because it was callin my name each time i walked past it. i also considered buying that big head for my front yard but figgered that this wouldl unleash some negative feelings among the neighbors.

Hey, don't know if you're interested or not, but I discovered a cool (and free) site today, where you can upload a photo, and they break it down into little individual photos, which are portions of the original, and which you can then print out, and cut the edges off, and have a poster sized photo from your own home. Really pretty cool. It's "blockposter.com." Quality of end product varies with the trimming and taping together, but I looked at some of the things people'd done, and some were quite good. Also, it makes for a cool kind of "tile" effect, if you want that. I may try it out when I get some photo paper, just to see.
sounds great! thnak you! tile effect as in andy warhol kind of thing or like a panoramic view? i will take a look at it later tonight. theres also another photo site i want to look at also but have to find where i left the napkin with the url on it. lol. when i did get back online with the laptop the free trial photo software that i had downloaded off of cnet had expired. in big letters it said BUY NOW but down below in teeny tiny letters it said continue your free triall so i clicked on that and it gave me another month. this is good. it will give me a chance to play with a few of these and see which is the easiest to use.
