ok, so its her eyes ... a body could drown in those eyes
yup shes kinda cute and i like her feisty attitude. although my current lust after celeb is Orianthi. Now I could get lost somewhere..er...yeah..somewhere:)
heck no, not in my wildest dreams. I have never possessed the ability needed to compete at that level
wasnt the race today? or continuing today? didja watch it?
It's a three week race that covers a little over 2100 miles. It started July 4th in Monaco and is now in Spain (Barcelona on into the Pyrenees mountains) .. and will soon head into France. Lot's of excitement so far but this years race will probably be decided in the Alps.
It's televised on versus like 4 times a day but I've been recording the live broadcast in the morning and watching that at night so I can blow past the 3000 commericals that are part and parcel of show ... LOL .. ALTHOUGH I have suddenly developed this odd desire to get myself a cadillac cts.

But being there as a spectator is definitely on the bucket list. The thing is you have to plan your venues carefully b/c roads are closed hours (sometimes a full day) before and after any given stage which leaves you stuck where you are long after that day's race is over. And of course by the time you're mobile the next day's venue is closed off so at best you may get to catch a stage every three or four days if the travel distance is doable and your timing is good.
LOL .. and yanno the funniest part .... all that prep work and the race blows past you pretty darn quick, and there you are ... left to picnic the rest of your day away :)
I still wanna go :)
reminds me of the pro golf tournament that gets held in ct every year. people stake out their plot of grass hoping that their perch will yield the big hole in one or other exciting action and theyll wait hours for the players to reach their spot. (tho this year apparently big hail and thunder kept that from happenin for many)
hey theres always next year for the race, right? start planning now and make it happen! im a big believer in making those lists and checking them off. i dont have a lot of travel ones left and am in the middle of making a new set of, what im thinking of as, reorganizational bucket list items. i find that the act of list making helps me clarify and then step by step things. (in my next life ill be more free wheeling in this im an organizational kinda girlie. ) well that and the mantra: first decide what and then figger out how.
and so begins one of the greatest sporting events of all time. Being there in person remains high on my 'to do' list. Deciding a venue(s) would be the challenge of a lifetime thou ... what a beautiful country.
being there as in riding? is this a bucket list item? id make it 20 miles and poop out. no wait there are lots of hills make that 10 miles. however i do have a tour de france option on the exercise bike i use at the y:) thats as close as ill ever get to it.
