I dunno .. I'm using faststone image viewer program and I'm having trouble. I must be mildly retarded when it comes to posting pictures.  confuse

Part of the problem is I'm playing with it but I'm tired so any patience I may have had are long gone .. lol

I'll mess with again in a day or so.

tired is a terrible thing for the brain cells. i can relate. lol. i have some photos ive wanted to post but it means dealing with 4 photo programs all competing for that download moment. maybe ill join ya in posting them in a day or so.

The room we stayed in was pretty high so we had a view of the inlet and the ocean. They both looked fierce when the winds were blowing and the tide was low but seemed fairly docile otherwise. We took some pics out of the window and if I can do that planet alignment thing and it's rains on Tuesday (good odds on that!) .. I just might get them on here :)

yay! id love to see pix of AC. I havent been there in years, not since a year or so after it was all rebuilt. Im curious too about the housing development that was built right down the street. I remember at the time there was a big controversy about displacing the poor folks in the neighborhood to improve the casino area and that they had built many single family low income homes as a response to that. I wonder what that area looks like now?

Roulette is simple in concept but difficult to win. From what I've read, only slots have worse odds. There's a wheel with numbers 1 thru 36 that are either red or black, and AC wheels have a 0 and 00 (green). The idea is, you place a bet on a number, they spin the wheel and if the little ball settles in the number you've picked, you win. Of course there are about a hundred ways to bet. You can put $ directly on a number (pays 35:1), you can bet the line in between two numbers (pays 17:1), you can bet the corners - 4 numbers (8:1), or an entire line (11:1) or an entire street, two lines (5:1), you can bet red or black, odd or even, by dozen - 1-12, 13-24, 25-36 or you can bet high or low 1-18 or 19-36 .. these are called outside bets and pay even money. I'm sure I've missed something here, but you get the idea.
Sounds easy right ... lol ... sometimes yes, sometimes no. But it's fun and we don't play with anything we can't afford to lose. We go back in July.

gawd it sounds very complicated. i like the images in my head that come when i think of roulette. must come from watching all of those old james bond in monte carlo movies:) it took me years to learn blackjack, i dont know why its really not hard, but i had a hard time with all of the ins and outs and this sounds equally confusing. lol

We held our own until Saturday when one of the throwers tossed a slew of crappy numbers before tossing the number six (6) - 5 times in a row. What the hell are the odds of that. Well, lol .. technically I think the odds are 1 in 38 each and every toss (AC has 0 and 00 on the wheel) but 5 times in a row?  wtf ...... guess I should have covered it after the second showing but we kept thinking we had seen the last of it ...   but no.

this sounds fascinating. how does this game work? ive never played it.

Anyway's ... we can't complain. We had a really nice suite comp'd from Resorts for $6 a night and food comps from Resorts and Bally's, so eating was pretty cheap.

We never did get our morning bike ride in and most of the boardwalk strolls turned into mad dashes in the rain, but all in all it was a nice way to spend a few days.

rainy weekend getaways can be an ok thing too! and it sounds like you made the most of it. the fun things about casino weekends are all that youve described anyway, the room, the food and the entertainment.  we canceled our trip to block island this weekend. i am sort of wishing that we went it would have been an expensive washout which is why we canceled but today was one of those magical gray wild and windy days that might have made it all worthwhile. was the ocean fierce?

So we played from Wed to Sat. afternoon with $200, which really isn't bad. We spent most of our time at roulette although the g/f has a weak spot for slot machines. We tossed the new system pretty quick though and went with our tried and true numbers. Bally's has a sweet little set up with 12 electronic screens set around a real wheel that has human spinners. (I don't trust the totally electronic games. It might just be me but it always feels like the machine can calculate the lowest pay point before drawing each number)

The g/f and I are off to atlantic city for a few days. Woohoo! I'm looking forward to morning bike rides and evening strolls on the boardwalk.

And ............. apparently we have a new 'system' for roulette and I'm assured we will lose our money at a much slower rate now ...
yet, I remain doubtful ... lol

i am wishing you luck both at the tables and in the weather department. this rainy stuff has to end sometime, right? however a nice romantic beach vacation can be found inside as well as outside and then there are all of those spas to consider. have a blast and win big!
