Hate this job but it does have a rather satisfying feel. I did grow an "undecided" pile and I'm in a heated debate with myself ... keep it or not. One part of me says, hey you haven't used it recently, didn't even remember you had it, so get rid of it. The other me says ... but now I know it's there ... and I like it and I could use it again .. so maybe I should just put it back and see if I reach for it in the next few months.
So how do you do it?
::::sigh:::: did I mention I hate this job
im not a good one to advise you since im a pack rat and more likely to enjoy those finds and wear them again. the best advice ive heard on decluttering was to divide into the 3 categories as youve done and put the undecideds in a box in the attic. if you havent gone into the box in 6 months chuck it without looking in it. im more ok with throwing out old clothes its books and papers that i tend to keep and im buried in both.
When you grabbed the tee and the pile fell did you reach for any of it and. say to yourself.........OMG I have so missed this.........................go through the undecided pile 3 more times and, if nothing has changed get help. I keep things a long time and, wear them out but, I rotate each winter and summer and, if a few seasons go by without me wearing something I get rid of it. Unless of course it is one of those gems that I just can not part with no matter how gawd aweful it looks. My closet must be neat for me to feel balanced. And, it is. lol Gator

I headed to the closet to grab jeans and a t-shirt, saw my tee .. grabbed for it and the whole lot of them came a tumblin down.
So there I am, standing in a walk in closet (ok, not really walk in, but under ideal conditions a step this way or that, could be taken) up to my ankles in some stuff that I didn't even know I had.
It obvious the time has come to deal with it. This one in tatters .. into the "its now a rag pile", this one is ugly (what was I thinking?) rag pile ... and this one to small (how the heck did THAT happen?? lol, you're thinking Bakers Chocolate ... don't think I can't hear you:) tossed into the give it away pile.
