great news isnt it? i wondered when i saw this about federal benefits. the state dept is federal isnt it? its not some outside agency? im wondering how that will play out for other federal agencies and whether they can use this as a springboard for all federal depts allowing partner benefits?

 


Not sure. But it does seem the (perhaps only) good thing Barack Obama has done for the GLBT community since being becoming president is to have appointed Hillary Clinton Secretary of State. wink.gif

 

 


i was thinking about the great position shes in here. she can effect a lot of changes on social policies and not have to be all that politically correct about it since shes not been all that visible since taking this position. shes out there quietly doing a great job according to most people.  this move of hers polishes up the clinton legacy vis a vis glbt issues
