I wish I could say they were dusk photos. Unfortunately, it was late morning and it was cloudy and even drizzled a bit while we were zipping along. I was a few platforms ahead of my sisters, so I snapped some pics of them while I waited for them to catch up. I was surprised they came out so well. I think my hands were shaking a mile a minute. The adrenaline rush was awesome! I'm terrified of heights, but I highly recommend a zip line tour if you ever get the chance. It was actually my second one. I zipped in Pennsylvania this past summer, too.

i can imagine. you are a braver woman than i thats fer sure. where in pa did you do this? philly?

About 30 minutes outside of Phila on Spring Mountain.

Heart of Darkness This tour is the Vertigo tour done at night. The one main difference is that rather than taking the chairlifts to the top, guests have the option to take a 1 hour heart pumping hike through the winding trails of the little seen Dark Side of Spring Mountain. Guests will be given headlamps to use while on the tour. This tour is the most physically demanding because of the steep uphill hike and the most mentally challenging because of the insecurity of darkness. This tour can take between 2 and 3 hours to complete harness to un-harness. This tour is available to guests in good to excellent physical conditioning. If you can do 10 sit-ups and push-ups, at least one pull-up and climb a flight of stairs skipping every other step without struggle you can do this tour.

and its all in the dark! 10 situps and pushups? would those be girly pushups or army pushups?  i could do the situps but in the best of days i couldnt do the pushups. and the idea of skipping UP stairs? do they mean without falling off? however, even tho id be left at the platform, this sounds like a hell of a kick:) mebbe ill start training!

Hi, all.
I envy your photos. I had to spend a good chunk of last week in Scottsdale (Howdy, Owl) and thought the new camera would come in handy in Sedona. Wouldn't even turn on no matter how many new batteries I tried. Fuji this.
Happy, happy. Merry, merry.

Hey there,

Great to see you.  Happy, happy back at ya.

PS  sorry for your camera loss.

Well, good Lord, woman -- be careful where you say that! (I'm pretty sure it's still illegal in six states, and three others want to have consitutional amendments about it.)

wink

I tried zipping around PA in October

I'd heard that, but refused to believe it as anything other than rumor until confirmed by you.

but the nice Amish women just kept selling me more jars of preserves. It's high on my list of no zip zones.

Well, ya gotta know the zip code, if ya wanna zip east of the Mississipp'.

I really thought "my buggy or yours" was a winner. The preserves were to die for, but I never did get a look around the buggy, or the barn ;)

Howdy! cowboy.gif

Yikes ... if I'd know you were coming, I would have ordered up some more "seasonal" weather for you.

"ARG" about the camera in Sedona thing! Yikes! I went up there ummmm... a month or so ago, I guess it's been now. Did you drive through the canyon at all? Bump into any friendly vortex...i? Get scrummy peanut butter cream pie and lousy coffee at the Hitchin' Post? smile  It's been snowing heavily up there the last few days. I'd post some of my Sedona photos here, but ... can't, with my dial up connection, and AOL Pictures abandoning me, but that's old news. How ye be? LTNS! Miss yer red font. wink Good to see it again.

My family took a cruise to Cozumel this weekend.  What a hoot!  There was a pack of 10 of us.  There was always someone to do something with.  Here are a few pics.  I took the zip lining excursion with my sisters.

What a great trip and chance to spend fun and "downtime" with so many family members. That's a really special thing to do. Good to see you posting pics too! As for zipping above Mexico on a wire and a winch? Well, I won't say anymore. I like my feet on the ground or my head underwater.

Welcome back!

It was a lot of fun.  We haven't spent that much time together in decades. We managed to get a few group pictures of us on formal night.  I felt bad for the photographer.  We were laughing so hard, there were a few pictures hanging in the hall with tears streaming down our faces.  We ran off a few couples trying to patiently await their turns.

While I went zipping with 2 of my sisters, a few of the other trip-goers did some snorkeling and swimming with dolphins.  A good time was had by all.  Glad you enjoyed the pics.  You should have seen how close the Carnival red stack came to the underside of the skyway bridge.  I tried to snap a picture of it, but it didn't turn out.  It was close!
