If it's racism it's on the heels of the Congressional Black Caucus and Illinois state representatives demanding a black fill the only US Senate seat held by a black. The Washington elite black BCC has been very vocal in their wishes. They don't seem to even care which black, or with what resume, just an "even swap", of sorts. it truly is. this twerp gets an award for slime tho. yikes. id like to know who candidates 2,3 and 4 are. apparently obama wanted valerie jarret and shes candidate 1 and the threat was if he didnt get more than a thanks hed give it to candidate 5 which is apparently jackson. i hope they are both not involved in this mess. skin color seems an odd reason to fill a senate seat, especially when the pres is bi racial.
My gut tells me that Rahm Emmanuel will be a key figure in this dirty business. Most importantly now, BO's FIRST casualty and stain, before he's even sworn in.
dunno the coverage yesterday seemed to suggest that hes the one who turned him in and he apparently replaced him when he went on to become governor. i suppose it could happen but i hope not. that would really get this next admin off to a poor start.
what a mess. did anyone hear the tapes? aiyiyi! i wonder who will tumble as a result of this. the two most likely to experience fallout thus far seem to be jesse jackson jr and valerie jarrett. (sic?) the fbi agent in charge stated that there was no evidence that jackson was involved at this point tho he is supposedly the infamous candidate number 5 and the gov seemed to feel that they could get him to kick in a lot of money. i wonder what led him to think this? i really hope that he has had nothing to do with this. what a terrible legacy for him and his father if that turned out to be true. im thinkin that perhaps racism played a part in the gov thinking that jackson would pay.

and then david axlerods comment that obama had spoken to the gov about his seat and was later retracted? lets hope he misspoke. the fbi also states that obama is not connected to any of this. i so hope that remains the case i wonder tho what would happen if, before the inauguration takes place it was discovered that obama was aware of this or had some role in it or was indicted. would he still be allowed to assume office? apparently it was his chief of staff that reported the gov and all of the tapes seem to suggest that there was no offer to pay to play coming from anyone in the obama camp but the tape also suggests that someone in that camp was approached and turned it down. lets hope a timely reportage to the proper authorities happened. but valerie jarretts role seems to be a bit murkey right now and i havent seen the kind of denials having to do with her that i have seen about jackson or obama.
