maybe when I get moved I will get me a camera and take some photos, the view from my bedroom window will be the golden gate. I will be across the bay from Muir woods, one of my favorite places in the world.

now that sounds like a million dollar view!

I may never get moved.

how long do you have to get everything out? i hope that you have some help?

I have ask myself why I collected so much junk since I hate dust collectors, this morning so far I have filled a trash can with coffee cups and still have 3 milk crates of them to store. I have 4 crates of Arthur Court stuff. I have two sets of dishes, why? I have a maple bed room suit and an oak one, why? I gave away 30 bottles of wine, I don't drink, why did I have them? I know why I have the Jack Daniel bottles, but why do I collect them? I have a desk for my PC and two office desk, why? I gave away the PC, and mostly use my lap top at the coffee table, LOL, and I have 2 coffee tables too. I have a dinning room table and a kitchen table, why? MY GAWD I have become something I despise, I am a pack rat.

its been said that people spend the first half of their lives acquiring things and then sometime in the middle of life an epiphany happens and people spend the last half of their lives getting rid of all that they have aquired. well all of the material things anyway. its hard to let go of things that have meaning even if they do clutter up everything and never get used. i have books i cant part with. theyre dust covered and ill probably never look at them again but somehow its comforting to know that they are there. i tend to think its the sacred spaces concept. we know every nook and cranny of our homes, how things work, where things are and there are stories behind all that we acquire and its hard to divest of all of that and take that sage advice of not taking more than what one can fit in a backpack.

thank you for the reminder and the photographs.

You know, no matter what our politics or similarities or differences I love when we share local photos and personal life pics just to allow each other into a piece of our lives. Shyts too intense these days, life, health, the world is too complicated these days. And though pics are able to offend, that's typically known as being evocative or provacative. And that, at least, sounds brainy right?  Lemme go shoot the "Egg". And I'll post them in a bit. And really, who's ever been offended by a bird feeder, sunset, breast cancer walk, historic hotel or baby taped to the wall?

Don't forget your mammograms! Here's a few photos of this mornings event. I couldn't imagine a more perfect morning or sunrise to start the days activities with. These are the waterfront in downtown Saint Petersburg, a couple of you will probably recognize a few spots, maybe even a few of you....Ag? BTW, the Sci-Fi channel featured the Renaissance Hotel, pic 4 and 5, in this past Wednesdays show about haunted American joints. P.S. If you're a local, without insurance, go to the Health Department for a mammo rx and St. Anthonys new Breast Center in the professional building will do them at no charge. Let people know, it's so important. P.S., if you do get it done at St. A's, you can't keep the nice white terry robe, no matter how much flirting or begging you try. Or, well, that's what I hear anyway.  ;)

Great pictures!  I just love the Vinoy area of downtown.  I saw the story yesterday on Bay News 9 and looked for you in the background.  Good for you for getting out there and walking.

That's too funny! I was definitely on camera for Ten News, except I'm pretty sure I got cut when I screamed there's the DUI guy! Poor Reggie Roundtree. Well, really, most of our local tv and radio folks...Pillars of the Pubs really. :) blahblah.gifbeer.gif

Hey, if you ever have spare time shoot me a note and maybe we can meet for a Vinoy Basin or Coffee Pot Bayou coffee walking jaunt. Bring the dogs. Wait till you see what I'm driving now. Pics, shortly...My disclaimer comes here. I really only know what happens in the drivers seat. There's THAT much space in this thing. It's the size of 4 or five motorcycles, 1 1/2 Trackers and I'm pretty sure I drove over a "Smart" car yesterday.
